Greek Independence Day Proclamation in the City of Troy, Michigan

Hosting Organization: St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Troy, Michigan

A proclamation was presented declaring, "March 25th as Greek Independence Day" in the City of Troy, Michigan. Mayor Ethan Baker read the proclamation to a small group (due to city COVID protocols). In attendance were His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas of the Metropolis of Detroit, Rev. Father Paul Patitsas, Rev. Father Michael Manos, Nick Lionas, Dr. Spiro Xydas, Laura and daughter Evangelia Xydas and Craig Theros. Troy is home to over 1000 Greeks.
